Mark Wilson, CPA
Mark Wilson, CPA is responsible for the vision and direction of the practice. Mark is passionate about helping entrepreneurs realize their goals.
Often, this is accomplished by developing key performance indicators (KPIs), tax planning, and providing a clear understanding of business results. He frequently moderates mortgage industry round-table discussions for key industry executives and owners.
Prior to starting the CWDL, CPAs he found and eventually exited GEMC, a privately held mortgage bank located in San Diego, CA. In addition, he has served as a CFO for multiple financial service firms, participated raising capital and M&A transactions.
Mark’s background as an entrepreneur and CFO provides him with a unique “client sided” perspective that has been proven valuable throughout his career.

George Cossolias, CPA
George Cossolias, CPA has been licensed in good standing by the California Board of Accountancy for over forty (40) years.
Throughout his career, Mr. Cossolias has provided his extensive knowledge and expertise to clients as a tax advisor/preparer, auditor, audit committee member, trustee, and board member.
He has served as a bank director, Taft-Hartley Act plan fiduciary, and executor of several estates, and is currently a trustee for nine mutual funds and leads the tax practice of CWDL CPAs. The long list of organizations, pension and retirement funds for which he serves alternatively as board member, audit committee member and trustee is a testament to the confidence and goodwill he inspires in all of his client relationships.
Many of his clients have sought his services for over twenty-five (25) years. He proudly served in the United States Army Reserves from 1956 to 1963.
John Dominguez, CPA, CFE, CGFM
John Dominguez, CPA, CFE, CGFM has served hundreds of governmental and non-profit entities, ranging from multi-billion dollar county investment pools and municipalities to single-school local education agencies.
John currently leads the governmental entity department of CWDL CPAs. Over the past ten (10) years he has provided audit, forensic examination, financial and management consulting services for clients throughout California and Arizona. John is an active member of the AICPA and the ACFE and stays abreast of new and upcoming accounting pronouncements.
He is known as a positive and creative problem solver and takes pride in establishing long lasting relationships founded upon clear communications and trust.
Ben Leavitt, CPA, CFE
Ben Leavitt, CPA, CFE has over six (6) years of experience in auditing governmental agencies and nonprofits. His audit experience has particularly focused on A-133 single audits, community colleges, K-12 school districts and proposition 39 bond audits as well as fraud audits and forensic investigations.
Ben regularly attends updates and seminars organized by the Chancellor’s Office, the California Department of Education, the Association of Chief Business Officials and others to stay current on new and upcoming changes to state and federal compliance regulations.
He has provided audit and forensic consulting services ranging from routine financial audits to implementations of new accounting pronouncements, attendance recapture, organizational internal control analysis, and fixed asset accounting, and presented at workshops for the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers, and the California Municipal Treasurer’s Association, among others.
Dennis V. Maschke, MBA
Dennis has over 13 years of experience working in public accounting and leads our Arizona practice. He has dedicated 100% of his time to serving governmental entities.
Dennis has extensive knowledge in performing single audits, state specific compliance procedures, expenditure limitation reports, and has managed a wide variety of consulting projects. Dennis is currently responsible for overseeing government audits, including supervising staff, compiling financial statement, preparing reports, managing client relations, and assessing client needs.
Dennis has received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Michigan State University. He then went on to obtain his Master’s in Business Administration from Davenport University. He is a member of the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, Arizona Association of School Business Officials, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Arizona.
Dennis was recently published in the 2018 ASCPA Magazine for an article on organizational fraud: “Organizational Fraud Continues to Rise: Here’s How We Can All Do Better.” He has presented at many conferences, including GFOAz events and AASBO events. He also participates as a GFOA PAFR Program reviewer. Dennis stays current on his CPE and is active in developing staff and teaching on upcoming GASBs and audit standards.
Dennis’ hobbies include golf, travel, and spending time with his family. He enjoys traveling through the southwest and has been through most all of Arizona. He enjoys teaching and at one point was a professor in Accounting.
